Kid's Connection (0-5)
Our young children’s ministry is headed by Eldress Celina Simpson who is an elementary school teacher. She lovingly and knowledgeably teaches our little ones God’s word in a way that is understandable for their age group. It is never too young to begin to feed our children the Word of God. Not only do our young ones learn nursery rhymes and work on different crafts that are appropriate for this age group, they also learn the Word of God. In Proverbs 22:6, the Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We want to instill the knowledge and wisdom of God in our young children so that they can grow up to rightly explain God’s Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15).
At the same time that we teach our young children God’s word, we can learn how to approach His word and promises from their innocent faith. As we all should, young children trust God and believe that with Him all things are possible. If we do not trust God with the same unwavering child-like faith, we cannot enter His kingdom (Matthew 18:3). With wisdom from God, together we can raise up these young children to be strong women and men of God.
